Brunei Darussalam

Known as the Abode of Peace, Brunei Darussalam is a vibrant showcase of captivating traditions, breathtaking natural beauty, deep religious respect, and reverence for its ancient monarchy.

Since gaining independence in 1984, Brunei has made a remarkable progress, becoming a proud member of key regional and international organisations such as the Associate of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN), the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Commonwealth, and the United Nations. The nation’s abundant oil reserves, discovered in 1929, have contributed to a high standard of living for its citizens, offering benefits such as free healthcare, a robust state education system, and a housing scheme allowance.

The capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan, boasts a variety of hotels, along with diverse shopping and leisure options. Brunei offers the perfect blend of modernity and nature. Although widely recognised for our ancient forestry and intriguing wildlife, Brunei also offers the thrills of rapid rivers to traditional street foods.
